Cute Critters

For our third design, we were asked to create a project centered around the theme, "Cute Critters." I chose to use these adorable stamps from our sponsor My Heart Stamps For You. The kitty, the bear, and the sentiment can all be found HERE on our sponsor's website.

Many of you are participating in tag swaps so I decided to make a tag this time! Tags are popular as embellishments for gift bags, as well as for scrapbook pages. I can see giving this tag to a friend as part of the gift. You could put it on the outside of a package or bag. Wouldn't that be really cute?

I used the Gypsy to size my tag to approximately 3"x5". I first cut the tag out of chipboard using the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge (with the deep cut blade). I then cut out two more tags using the regular blade with pink card stock. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the card stock. I prepared the stamps and after letting the stamps dry, I colored them with my Prismacolored colored pencils. I attached the hearts with ribbon and added more ribbon for decoration at the end. I stitched around the entire tag for a little more interest.

There you have it. I hope I have inspired you to try making a tag if you have never made one before:) Now check out the other Heartstring Design team blogs to see what "Cute Critters" they have designed. ~Madison
