Christmas Around The Clock...#1

Santa Soup
So, I guess I haven't gotten out of the Christmas spirit. So stay tuned as I hope to inspire you with projects around the clock. I am competing in the Cuttlebug Christmas Around the Clock challenge which means I will be making many new Christmas projects. Here is the first one. It is called Santa Soup. I used a 15 ounce empty can and covered it with this cute design that I made.

Here is the poem that covers the back of the can:

Santa’s been so busy, he’s had no time to eat.
And Mrs. Claus got worried, so she made a special treat.
She took his favorite things, and put them in a pot.
She added magic elf dust, and heated it ‘til hot.
Santa loved it so much, he finished the whole pan.
So Mrs. Claus made more, and put it in this can.
Since Santa thought it was yummy, she thought that you might too.
So she asked dear old sweet Santa, to leave a can for you!

The tag says:
Santa Soup Contains
1 pkg Hot Chocolate
2 Peppermint Sticks
4 Hershey Kisses
Marshmallows

There had to be something using the Cuttlebug and as you can see I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the tag. I used the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge to make the cute reindeer that holds the tag. Hope you enjoy this:)

  1. Super cute...but...what did you use for the TOP of the can if you have removed it? How did you make sure the edges were not sharp?
I think they would be perfect gifts for teachers and the people at my church!

  3. Make sure you use a pop top lid so the lids are not sharp after you take them off! Good question Theresa! Sorry I forgot to mention that:) Thanks for asking! You rock:)

  4. How cute and great idea.
Also, you can use the can opener that does not leave sharp openings.

This is my only break from volleyball which I play year round so its perfect for me! I am only going to be a sophomore in high school:) Thanks for wanting me to win. I would love to win the Cuttlebug Folders. I love using them on all my projects:)
